Street Fight

An amazing documentary about a local election, set in the city of Newark, New Jersey, Street Fight sheds light on the often shady side of politics. The most interesting part of the film was the topic of race and what it means to be Black in America. It's so sad that in 2002 (the year this film was made) a politician who came of age in the U.S. during the 1960s would even think to question another man's "blackness" because he's educated and successful. It's even more depressing that a community beaten and pillaged by socio-economic injustice would listen to his nonsense.
